ScanScreen offers you a tailored screening package to meet your needs as a woman.
Some conditions, such as ovarian cancer and uterine cancer, only affect women. Others, although they can occur in both men and women, are more prevalent in one sex than the other.
At ScanScreen, we offer you a thorough range of medical checks with two complementary packages to achieve a comprehensive check: Ultrascreen and Complescreen. In addition to mammography and breast ultrasound, we also offer pelvic ultrasound for the detection of ovarian and uterine cancer. A bone density scan is used to detect signs of osteoporosis. In addition we also screen for heart disease, lung cancer, and bowel cancer. |

Ultrascreen for Women
We recommend that you use Ultrascreen once a year. It is an affordable, highly accurate method for the early detection of the most common serious diseases affecting the over-40s. It scans for cancers and other diseases of the breast, ovaries, womb and abdomen.
Ultrascreen uses ultrasound, and does not emit radiation.
Please note: we can scan separately for particular diseases, for those who have special concerns, i.e. those with a family history of certain cancers. |

Complescreen
Complescreen provides a comprehensive care package, examining a wide range of the body’s systems for cancers and other common diseases. We recommend that you use Complescreen every five years. It consists of the full Ultrascreen package as well as a low-dose CT body scan, checking for lung cancer and cancer of the bowel as well as heart disease. These three diseases do not need such frequent checks as those in the ultrascreen package..
Please note: as with Ultrascreen, all three scans can be done individually for those with particular concerns. |
